The documentary has been supported by the UNIFEM Programme Office in Nepal, in collaboration with the MenEngage Alliance Nepal Country Group Network. The founding members of MenEngage are: The Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare, Samanata, Pro Public & Save the Children Alliance

The Changemakers – A project of the Indian Railways and UNIFEM South Asia Office:

This  is an 8 minute film on the collaborative project between Indian Railways and UNIFEM. Based on photo documentation of the project activities, it is an advocacy film for sharing the learning’s and challenges and for exploring the potential for up scaling/ replication in other areas and institutional settings.

 

TRAJECTORY OF A SAGA (Tracing the journey of many Women Living with HIV/AIDS):

A 13-minute Multimedia Conceptualized, Designed and Produced by CFAR with support from UNIFEM South Asia Regional Office

The Multimedia attempts to trace the unique journey undertaken by a Collective of Women Living with HIV/AIDS. This four year journey not only brought together scores of community leaders, activists, social advocates, committed officials and concerned people, but also threw up valuable lessons and gave us the much needed roadmap on how to develop a gender sensitive response to HIV/AIDS.

 

Breaking the Silence, A Step Forward: an interactive training module by Navjyoti Delhi Police Foundation.

 

A film on trafficking in women and girls made by Genesis, to sensitize police officers and raise awareness in the rural community

 

The documentary, 'The City Beautiful’ made by AAKAR supported by UNIFEM and  Zonta International  was the only Indian documentary selected for screening at the Leipzig International Documentary Festival in Germany in October 2003. The film has won the following awards:

  • The second best film award at the Jeevika National Livelihood Documentary Festival in India in February 2004.

  • Received the Le Prix international de la Scam in Paris in March 2004

Description: City Beautiful “Sunder Nagari” is the story of two families struggling to make sense of a world, which keeps pushing them to the margins and shows how gender roles are constantly being renegotiated against this backdrop.
